Breakfast at Timothy's
(pub: 2027)
"It is no surprise that I grew into a person who listens deeply, who feels the emotional weather of others, who seeks pattern and meaning, who believes that difference is not a flaw but a form of intelligence. My neurodivergence did not begin in a clinic or a classroom. It began in her (my mother's) arms, in her voice, in the music she gave me, and in the star she held me up to see."
What happens when a neurodivergent child grows up in a world that neither recognises nor understands the way their mind works?
Blending memoir with the history of neurodivergence, Tim's story follows a lifetime of searching for answers, navigating challenges, and discovering strengths hidden beneath expectation, misunderstanding, and self-doubt. Through personal experiences and professional insights, he reveals how the people, environments, and experiences we encounter (however painful) profoundly influence our development and sense of self.
More than a personal story, this book is an exploration of why neurodivergent recognition matters and how understanding neurodivergence can open the door to greater confidence, wellbeing, purpose, and joy.

The Ings and Owt's of the Thewless Bairn (in production)
A humorous and affectionate journey through family, neurodivergence, and the rich storytelling traditions of Yorkshire.
Drawing on a lifetime of performing, storytelling, and observing the wonderfully eccentric characters around him, Tim takes listeners back to his Northern English roots and the chaotic, colourful world of his childhood.
The title itself is steeped in Yorkshire dialect, with linguistic roots reaching back to the Viking settlements of the Danelaw. Bairn is the traditional Yorkshire word for a child, thewless might loosely be understood as "soft in the head" or lacking conventional sense, ings refers to marshland, while owt means "anything". Together, they capture the spirit of a curious child trying to make sense of a world full of larger-than-life personalities, family quirks, and unexpected adventures.
Through humour, warmth, and a generous dose of Yorkshire wit, Tim shares stories of growing up in a neurodivergent family long before anyone had the language to describe it. Beneath the laughter lies a celebration of difference, belonging, resilience, love and the enduring influence of family, community, and place.
